NPA is offering fitness classes this summer starting the weeks of June 7, 14, and 21! See classes below for actual start dates. All classes will be free to members and $5 for non-members (punch cards will be available for a discounted rate). Classes will be taught by trained fitness instructors and will provide options for all levels of fitness. Classes will take place outside on the tennis courts or in the pool depending upon the session. Please arrive 5-10 min before start time. Consult your doctor before beginning any fitness program. WERQ Cardio Dance Starts Monday, June 7 Monday @ 7pm: 60 minsession: Tennis Court Recommended: Towel & water bottle Instructor: Stefanie This is a wildly addictive cardio dance workout based on trending pop and hip hop music. The mission is to create a judgement-free dance space built on good vibes, a great sweat, and a supportive community.
Water Fit Starts Monday, June 21 Monday @ 9:30am: 60 min session: Pool Wednesday @ 9:30am: 60 min session: Pool Recommended: Towel & water bottle Instructor: Lisa Stretching, strength, cardio, core all in one fun hour! Lisa mixes it up to keep every full body workout interesting! Monday will feature an extra emphasis on upper body, and Wednesday will feature an extra emphasis on lower body.
This class is appropriate for all fitness and ability levels. Pool noodles will be available for use, but if you own gloves, shoes, H2O hand weights or a floatation belt, bring them along!
Power Yoga Starts Tuesday, June 15 Tuesday @ 7am: 45 min session: Tennis Court Recommended: Yoga mat, towel & water bottle Instructor: Therese This class focuses on strength and flexibility using moves such as the warrior poses, sun salutations, etc. Expect your heart rate to rise as we move through extended strength holds and focus on core and back strength.
Yoga Flow Starts Thursday, June 17 Thursday @ 7am: 45 min session: Tennis Court Recommended: Yoga mat, towel & water bottle Instructor: Therese This class focuses on flexibility using moves to improve mobility. Using purposeful breathing we focus on moves that will open your hips and other areas improving ease of movement through all of your activities of daily living. A relaxation/meditation session will occur at the end of each class to help you reset your energy and improve mental clarity.
