NPA is pleased to be offering fitness opportunities again this summer! All classes will be free to members and $5 for non-members (punch cards will be available for a discounted rate). Sessions will be led by experienced/trained instructors and will provide options for all levels of fitness. Please consult your doctor before beginning any fitness program. Yoga in the Park Starts Wednesday, June 1 Wednesdays @ 7am: 50 min session: Tennis Court Recommended: Yoga mat, towel & water bottle Instructor: NPA member Ashley S. Join us on Wednesday mornings at 7am for a power vinyasa-style yoga class. We will get our bodies moving, connecting our breath with movement, and end each class with concentrated time to stretch. All levels are welcome; we'll do our best to modify as needed! Classes will run 45-50 minutes. Please bring a mat, water, towel (for sweat) and block (optional).
Wednesday Night Hikes Starts Monday, May 3 Wednesdays @ 7pm: Nature Trail Our trail is small but mighty! Join us on Wednesday evenings at 7pm for a 2 mile hike on the nature trail! 2 miles is equal to 4 times around the lake… so bring your hiking shoes, a walking stick and a water bottle. (Dress for the weather too!) This will be a great opportunity to get to know other hikers in our community. All levels welcome. We will meet at 6:45pm at the head of the trail. Children are welcome, but should be accompanied by an adult. We also ask that hikers leave their dogs at home. In the event of inclement weather, we will notify of cancellation that day via Facebook. Free for members, $5 for non-members.
Stroller Fit Starts Tuesday, May 16 Tuesdays @ 8am Instructor: NPA member Kelsey Stroller Fit is a great way for mom and baby to get outdoors and your sweat on. Classes are 60 minutes long with a combination walking, strength training, cardio, core restorations, and mind body connection. Our stroller fit class caters to moms of all fitness levels: pregnancy, new moms, and moms with one or more stroller-aged children. Although our class caters to prenatal and postnatal mamas, dad and partners are welcome to join. This class is all about self-care in a supportive and encouraging environment. Please bring a stroller or baby carrier, towel, and water bottle.
