Our 1st Annual Cornhole League is here!

We’re excited to kick off our first season of the Northville Park Association Cornhole League! This league is a great way to enjoy friendly competition, meet neighbors, and make the most of our beautiful park space before the start of summer. Members and their guests will enjoy weekly games, team camaraderie, and the chance to win prizes—all while enjoying our beautiful park.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or new to the game, the league is all about having fun and getting involved!

When is the league?
  • Dates: 5/7/25 to 6/4/25
  • Game Day: Wednesday
  • Time: Games begin at 6:00pm and should wrap up by 8:30pm!

How do I sign up?
  • Register your team by clicking here.
  • Registration Open: Saturday, March 1 through Friday, April 11, 2025

Who can play?
  • Teams consist of 2 players.
  • At least one player must be an active NPA member.
  • Non-members can join as teammates but must pay a $5 guest fee if they wish to use the pool or other park facilities after games.
  • Absent players may choose to find a substitute, or forfeit their match. (At least one registered team member must participate in all matches.) 

What if I have never played before?
  • Totally fine! Our League is all about fun – whether you're experienced, just getting started, or never played before, all are welcome!
  • You can review the rules of play below, and just remember to have FUN!

Is there an entry fee?
  • Yes; your $25 team fee will be collected at the time of registration.
  • Fee will include two league t-shirts and contribute to league prizes.

How is the league structured?
  • Weeks 1-4: Round-robin play, where each team competes against others.
  • Week 5 (June 4): Single-elimination playoffs for the top 8 teams.
  • Games are played to 21 points (win by 2).

What are the basic rules?
  • Scoring:
    • Bag through the hole: 3 points.
    • Bag on the board: 1 point.
    • Cancellation scoring applies (points cancel each other out).
  • Teams alternate throwing 4 bags each until all 8 bags have been thrown.
  • First team to reach 21 points wins.

What should I bring?
  • Comfortable clothes and shoes.
  • Water and snacks, if desired.

What do the winners receive?
  • Prizes will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place teams.

Can spectators attend?
  • Absolutely! Friends and family who are members of the park are welcome to come cheer you on. Guests may also enjoy the park for a $5 daily guest fee.
